Shipments and returns

Shipments

Packages are generally dispatched within 2 working days after receipt of payment and are shipped via first-class post.  Holiday periods may cause additional delays. If you prefer delivery by DHL or special delivery with required signature, an additional cost will be applied, so please contact us before choosing this method. Whichever shipment choice you make, we will provide you with a link to track your package online if appropriate. 

 

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects. Boxes are amply sized and your items are well-protected.

 

Availability

Availability of goods can vary from day to day. Where an order has been placed and the goods are not in stock, the purchaser will be notified wthin two working days and advised of stcok availabiltiy dates. If the purchaser then wishes to cancel the order, EMF Clothing will refund the payment within 2 working days. 

 

Returns

We recommend that customers check sizes carefully against the size chart before ordering. Outer garments can be changed for alternative sizes providing that the garments have not been worn and are returned packaged in the same condition as they were dispatched. Where the garment and packaging are not received packaged in the same condition, then EMF Clothing will return to the customer if requested, provided the customer has paid the new outward shipping cost. Undergarments and headnets cannot be changed for health and hygeine reasons in line with Distance Selling and Sale of Goods Act regulations.

Orders up to £100 are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Thereafter a restocking fee of 10% per additional £100 of order value.

Any purchaser who may be sensitive to the material fabric or any of the products used in the manufacturing process should contact EMF Clothing Ltd in order to satisfy themselves that the material is appropriate before making a purchase. If in doubt EMF Clothing will endeavor to provide a sample of the material where appropriate prior to purchase.

Products cut to size or made especially for a particular or bespoke request cannot be refunded or replaced, unless PROVEN to be defective or not fit for purpose when received. In which case an independent third party expert report should be submitted by a suitably qualified party.

Canopies: Full refunds will only be given where the product does not meet the specified shielding levels. In this case an independent third party test report must be submitted with the return.

Defects: EMF Canopies and canopy materials by their nature can have marks or rough threads or uneven surfaces. Where a canopy has visual defects that are not deemed by EMF Clothing Ltd to affect the performance of the canopy, returns will not be accepted. Where the level of defect is substantial, but does not affect the perfomance of the canopy, then the customer will be offered (by agreement with EMF Clothing Ltd) the defect to be rectified. If this is not possible then a replacement will be offered (this does not apply to bespoke or special canopies).  In the case of bespoke canopies, rectification or modification will be offered unless the feature has been previously agreed beither verbally or in writing in communication with EMF Clothing Ltd. If the 'defect' has been notified to the customer and the 'defect' is deemed acceptable by the customer, EMF Clothing Ltd cannot be held responsible for subsequent rectification or modiication. 

Where a customer has decided to return the canopy for personal reasons EMF Clothing reserves the right to charge a Handling Fee of 10% of the canopy price or equivalent to one weeks canopy hire. Customers who are unsure about purchasing a canopy are advise to hire a canopy for a period of time, should they then decide to purchase it, the hire fee can be refunded against the purchase cost. See 'Canopy Hire' category. This may not apply to some international destinations. Please contact us to check.

Hire fees as follows: 1st week @ 10% of Canopy price. Additional weeks thereafter @ 5% of canopy price.

The purchaser is responsible for return freight and consignments sent freight-forward will not be accepted.

The limit for returns is 7 days after order, or in line with Internet Commerce trading Laws 'cooling off' period. 

 

Warranty Claims

Scottish Law will apply at all times and to the absolute exclusion of any local, state, federal or national statutes, laws or regulations applicable in the purchaser's country of residence or the destination country to which the goods were consigned. Goods returned due to manufacturing defects will be replaced with those of the same size. The purchaser is responsible for return freight and consignments sent freight-forward will not be accepted. EMF Clothing Ltd will pay freight charges for replacement goods supplied under this warranty.
